He is board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM.) He has a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from The International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, graduating in 2003. He received his doctorate degree from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville NC in 2023. He was a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist from 1996-2003, before setting up his first acupuncture clinic in 2003. He is the former Clinic Director at Daoist Traditions College from 2014-2024. He has been teaching classes on all aspects of classical Chinese medicine at Daoist Traditions College since 2009.
I found acupuncture and Chinese medicine when I was in my 20’s when I found myself in a health situation that western medicine could not treat effectively. I was so impressed by the results that I saw from Chinese medicine that I chose to pursue it as my profession so that I could help offer this medicine to others. I have been working with people’s health goals professionally for almost 30 years and I find it as rewarding and interesting as I did when I started.

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are focused on patient-centered care. Each patient is an individual whose health or medical situation is seen as a pattern that is unique to them. It takes into account the patient’s lifestyle, emotional health, social relationships and the patient’s place within the environment around them. By being able to see the unique patterns presenting in each individual, we are able to effectively treat a wide variety of issues not necessarily addressed by other types of healthcare. Chinese medicine also works well with other types of medicine, and we enjoy focusing on integrated medicine and collaborative care with other health professionals.

We are here to help you with your health goals from whatever point you are starting at. Whether you have a chronic or acute condition or you are coming for balance and preventative care, we will meet you where you are at and help you on your journey. We use acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, qigong exercises and tui na(Chinese medical massage) to help restore balance to your body, mind and spirit. Treating pain of all sorts was my initial focus. I have found acupuncture and Chinese medicine to be effective at all sorts of orthopedic and neurological conditions. I also have an interest in helping people work on emotional well-being, regulating the nervous system and helping with resilience to the stresses of life.
